The covering device has multiple cover hoods (1,2,3) and a closing unit that is fixed at a frame of the transport belts, where a guiding rod is mounted with a length along the bottom edge of the associated cover hood. The length of the guide rod is approximately equal or slightly smaller relative to the length of the cover hood. An angle iron having multiple sections is provided at the frame of the transport belt over the total length of the cover hood.
