PURPOSE: A system and method for supplying power to a ship are provided to reduce the weight of the ship by not requiring an emergency generator. CONSTITUTION: A power converter converts power generated from a fuel cell system(10) to power suitable for a ship. A main distribution board(80) for a high voltage distributes power with high voltage to the ship. A main distribution board(50) for a low voltage distributes power with low voltage to the ship. The fuel cell system continuously generates power and supplies emergency power to the ship in an emergency situation.
