<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skeleton member of automobile body which can use a high tensile steel sheet by improving press formability of the member, consequently attains reduction in vehicle weight and the high strength/high rigidity of the automobile body, and which attains reduction in assembling man-hour and improvement in assembly accuracy and facilitation of the assembly by reducing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: A rear side member 10 as the skeleton member includes split members 12, 13 formed by splitting a bent part 11 in the longitudinal direction and is structured by joining both terminal parts of the adjacent split members 12, 13 to each other, wherein an overlapping region 15 is formed by overlapping the terminal parts each other in a joint part 14 formed by joining both terminal parts of the split members 12, 13 opposed to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
