PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for determining a method of holding a portable radio device by a user without specially installing a temperature sensor in the portable radio device.

SOLUTION: A portable phone terminal 1 comprises: antennas 11-15; first-fifth transmitting and receiving parts 31-35 which measure receiving intensity of the antennas 11-15; an operation determination part 51 which detects a specific operation by a user; and a holding method determination part 60 which compares a first receiving intensity measured by the first-fifth transmitting and receiving parts 31-35 before the operation determination part 51 detects a specific operation with a second receiving intensity measured by the first-fifth transmitting and receiving parts 31-35 after the operation determination part 51 detects the specific operation to determine a method of holding the portable phone device by the user.
