<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a laminate film capable of obtaining a laminate film containing a plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal layers and having a satisfactory film strength and suppressing generation of coating cissing defect. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a laminate film comprises steps of: (a) applying a curable liquid crystal composition containing a rod-like curable cholesteric liquid crystal compound, an alignment controlling agent, and an organic solvent on a support; (b) converting the curable liquid crystal composition applied to a cholesteric liquid crystal phase by heating the curable liquid crystal compound to align; (c) forming a cholesteric liquid crystal layer in which the cholesteric liquid crystal phase is fixed by radiating active radiation to the curable liquid crystal composition; (d) adhering a solvent to the surface of the cholesteric liquid crystal layer; (e) removing the alignment controlling agent eluted in the solvent adhered to the surface of the cholesteric liquid crystal layer; and (f) repeating at least once the (a) applying step, (b) aligning step, and (c) radiating step on the cholesteric liquid crystal layer in which the solvent is removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
