<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce contamination of line/strip material due to suspended matter floating on the surface of cleaning liquid without completely dissolved in cleaning liquid. <P>SOLUTION: In the washing drier for line/strip material including a washing unit which removes extraneous matter adhering to the line/strip material with cleaning liquid and a drying unit which is arranged at the latter stage of the washing unit concerned to remove the cleaning liquid adhering to the line/strip material, the washing unit includes a washing tub which stores the cleaning liquid and a separation inhibitor which separates the cleaning liquid surface in the washing tub into an approach domain which includes a part intersecting with a cleaning liquid surface when the line/strip material approaches the cleaning liquid from an air medium and a penetration domain including a part intersecting with the cleaning liquid surface when the line/strip material comes out from the cleaning liquid into the air medium, in order to prevent the influx of the extraneous matter, which is removed from the line/strip material to float to the cleaning liquid surface of the approach domain, into the penetration domain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
