The invention relates to a technical assembly for ordinary and three-dimensional digital printing, particularly for printing compressed three-dimensional images, one next to the other, on a single frame of silver 35 mm motion picture film while maintaining a high level of quality. Instead of reducing the size of the images, which degrades the quality thereof, the printing assembly first compresses both the left and right image and then prints the latter onto a single frame of silver 35 mm film. That is, the invention involves, from the outset, two compressed 35 mm images that are printed onto the 35 mm film by the novel printing apparatus without any loss of quality. The technical printing assembly comprises a standard printing apparatus, the motor of which is substituted with a stepper motor that converts the printing apparatus into an image-by-image printing system. A slide apparatus is also mounted behind the printing apparatus and is to receive the compressed left and right images and convert same into images that are printable onto the silver 35 mm film. The printing apparatus is then combined with a computer, where 3D-modeling software receives the left and right images from the camera and compresses said images while checking the size thereof instead of reducing the size thereof. Second software, i.e. printer software, manages the functionalities of the printing apparatus, sending the printing control to the stepper motor in order to move the latter. |
