Class 20 (3) A glazing channel which can be bent to conform to, and retain the shape of, non-rectilinear panes of glass and which is particularly adaptable for vehicle windows is produced by placing two wires a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP>, of fairly heavy gauge parallel to each other, and then winding wires b<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>2</SP>, of lighter gauge around them in zigzag formation. The wire frame is then bent over a former to make a channel, Fig. 2, which is enclosed in a layer of rubber c, Fig. 3. Linings of moquette d and felt e are added. Flanged channels and double channels may be produced, additional foundation wires being provided where necessary.</p> |
