A network locking method and device for a mobile terminal are provided by the present invention, and the method includes the following steps: the mobile terminal and a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card prestore network locking information and verification signals of the both sides; after the mobile terminal is started, the mobile terminal and the SIM card verify each other through verification signals; if the both sides all pass the verification performed by the other side, the mobile terminal compares the stored network locking information with the network locking information in the SIM card; if the comparison result is that they are consistent, the mobile terminal enters a normal standby state. Compared with the present art, even if the Mobile Country Code (MCC) and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) in the mobile terminal are cracked, and a un-customized SIM card is inserted, because the un-customized SIM card can not perform verification operations with the mobile terminal, the un-customized SIM card still can not be identified and used, thereby the security of the present network locking mechanism is improved. Furthermore, the present invention also set a mark bit of network locking in the network locking information, which not only improves the security of the network locking information comparison process, but also is convenient for unlocking operations by corresponding legal persons such as operators etc. |
