<p>The joint transmission system as laid out in the present embodiment generates OFDM signals (11-1 to 11-N) which are of OFDM frame structures from each unit transmission waves from broadcast TSs from a plurality of systems, joins the OFDM signals from each of the systems in a state in which the front of the reference frames of each are shifted to generate one joint OFDM signal (13), applies an inverse Fourier transform (14) to the joint OFDM signal together, and after adding guard intervals (15), generates a joint transmission wave signal (16) by way of a designated baseband on the basis of the joint OFDM signal. In the generation of the OFDM signals (11-1 to 11-N), pilot signals having a specific phase are placed at a predetermined position within each frame, and the OFDM signals of the plurality of unit transmission waves are shifted so that, between the adjacent unit transmission waves of higher frequency for each of the OFDM signals, the position and phase of the pilot signals match those of one another before and after the shifting. As a result, it is possible to suppress increase in peak amplitude at joint transmission time.</p> |
