<p>The present invention addresses the problem of providing a means for reducing false positive reactions in an immunoassay using a lectin. The present invention provides an inhibitor of binding between a lectin and an anti-lectin antibody, comprising a lectin and a sugar residue-containing carrier. The present inventors made further investigation and found that when a lectin and a sugar residue-containing carrier are mixed in advance and the detection of an immunoreaction between an antigen immobilized via a lectin and an antibody against the antigen in a sample is performed in the presence of the resulting mixture, binding between the lectin and an anti-lectin antibody in the sample is effectively inhibited.</p> |
