PURPOSE: A solid oxide fuel cell is provided to apply to a fuel electrode support type terminal battery and electrolyte support type terminal battery to solid electrolyte having high mechanical strength and ion conductivity and to secure high stability and high power by excellent mechanical property, while improving output performance of an electrolyte support type terminal battery. CONSTITUTION: A solid oxide fuel cell using high strength and highly ion conductive solid electrolyte has chemical formula of (Yb2O3+Sc2O3)x(ZrO2)(1-x) as a composite stabilized zirconia electrolyte, in which ytterbium oxide(Yb2O3) and scandium oxide(Sc2O3) are applied to at the same time, and as an electrolyte with bending strength value of 1.3 times or higher than 8YSZ electrolyte, mechanical property of 300 MPa or more, oxygen ion conductivity of two times or more than the 8YSZ electrolyte at temperature 800 °C and in atmosphere, in which oxygen concentration is 21% and ion conductivity of 0.1 S/cm or higher. |
