PURPOSE: A laser soldering apparatus and a laser welding apparatus are provided to precisely regulate heating temperature in soldering through linear control of laser beam intensity in a laser diode. CONSTITUTION: A laser soldering apparatus comprises a laser diode(130) which outputs a laser beam in response to an operating current based on a DC operating voltage applied to the anode, an optical fiber cable(160) which creates an optical path for leading the laser beam to a work piece, an analog signal generator(110) which outputs a linearly varying analog signal, a comparator(120) which compares the voltage of the analog signal with a feedback voltage and outputs a high- or low-level switching control voltage according to the comparison result, a switching element(140) which is connected between the cathode and control node of the laser diode and turned on or off in response to the switching control voltage, and a current detecting element(150) which includes a first terminal grounded and a second terminal connected to the control node and outputs a feedback voltage to the control node while the operating current is input through the control node.
