<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutoff body for an expansion gap, capable of stretching and contracting in a road axial direction with regularity even when a thick rubber material is used as a seal member, and a water stop device for the expansion gap using it. <P>SOLUTION: Cutoff bodies 11, 12, 13 for the expansion gap to be interposed in an expansion gap 3 between one road base and the other road base adjacent to each other along the road axial direction include: a seal member 15 which has a plurality of partition plate parts 15a, ..., 15a disposed with their plate surfaces facing each other with a prescribed interval in the road axial direction and a bend part 15b with a semicircular cross section, for connecting the upper parts of the partition plate parts 15a, 15a adjacent to each other in the partition plate parts 15a, ..., 15a with each other, and is freely stretchable in the road axial direction; and an elastic member 16 filled in a space between the partition plate parts 15a, 15a adjacent to each other and the bend part 15b in the seal member 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
