<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a mobile terminal with a downloadable application. <P>SOLUTION: A retrieval server includes: a table including at least either of hardware and firmware that can be incorporated in a mobile terminal, an application and information indicating whether the application is to be retrieved, with the aforementioned categories information correlated with one another; a selection part for referring to the table in response to a request for retrieving an application and selecting an application to be presented to the mobile terminal from among the applications to be retrieved on the basis of at least either of the hardware and firmware of the mobile terminal; a transmission part for presenting the mobile terminal with the selected application; and an update part for updating information that indicates whether to be retrieved, corresponds to at least either of the hardware and firmware of the mobile terminal, and is to be included in the table, so as to be excluded from a target of retrieval, if it is reported that information related to the application has been unable to be retrieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
