<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection screen device which has an advantage of entirely disappearing from a visual field of audience when being not used and does not need decomposition and conveyance requiring human power each time when being used. <P>SOLUTION: A screen takeup mechanism for taking up a screen into a roll is supported by an elevating bearing of a support structure, and means which freely reversibly elevates and lowers the screen takeup mechanism between a horizontal state and a vertical state is used.
