DESIGN ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

Provided is a design assistance system whereby, even if a user does not have expert knowledge, it is possible to easily design a network system taking into consideration the type of connection interface of ports. The present invention has: a recording means that records slave information data wherein unique information of a slave device is set forth; an acquisition means that, from the slave information data, acquires information of the connection interface of a port provided to the slave device; and a generation means that, on the basis of the slave information data, generates a display component that is a GUI component representing the slave device, generates a line component that is a GUI component representing, in a different embodiment in accordance with the type of connection interface, a connection between ports provided to the slave device, and generates a GUI for design assistance containing a topology display screen that represents the topology of a network system being designed and that is configured from device components connected by line components.
