[Problem] To provide a package body for packaging a rectangular parallelepiped shaped article wherein occurrence of breakage of a sealing portion can be reduced, and leakage and adherence of a packaged rectangular parallelepiped shaped article (content) made of a rubbery polymer can be effectively prevented. [Solution] Provided is a package body for packaging a rectangular parallelepiped shaped article wherein a rectangular parallelepiped shaped article to be packaged made of a rubbery polymer is packaged by a thermoplastic resin film. Thermoplastic resin films to cover the rectangular parallelepiped shaped article to be packaged from its upper surface portion (10e) and its lower surface portion (10f) are joined and sealed to form side surface sealing portions (11) so that three side surface portions (10a to 10c) among the four side surface portions of the package body for packaging a rectangular parallelepiped shaped article have the side surface sealing portions (11), and the other one side surface portion (10d) does not have the side surface sealing portion (11). The upper surface portion (10e) or the lower surface portion (10f) has an upper surface sealing portion (12) or a lower surface sealing portion which crosses the upper surface portion (10e) or the lower surface portion (10f) and reaches the side surface sealing portions (11) on opposite sides.
