FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat-and-mass exchange. Proposed device comprises packing layer, multiple lengthwise elements spaced apart in horizontal plane and having iner side and top end nearby packing layer bottom, and at least one plate spaced along vertical from packing layer bottom. Note here that every plate collects portion of falling fluid and has opposite ends jointed with inner sides of two lengthwise elements. It comprises, at least, one cup-shape passage for steam rising in exchange column from plate bottom to plate top.
