<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel separation plate for a fuel cell, excellent in corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity not only at an initial stage but also after a long period of use in a fuel cell operation environment, and a method of manufacturing the stainless steel separation plate for a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a stainless steel separation plate for a fuel cell of the present invention includes: a step of preparing a stainless steel sheet base material; a surface modification step of reducing an amount of an iron (Fe) component in a surface layer of the stainless steel sheet base material to form a chrome (Cr)-rich passive film having a relatively increased amount of a Cr component on a surface of a stainless steel sheet; and a step of subjecting the surface-modified stainless steel sheet to heat treatment at 100-300°C under vacuum, in air or in an inert gas atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
