<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film excellent in phase difference uniformity and transparency, and having few local defects, using a propylene based resin. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the optical film made of a propylene based resin includes a step of nipping and pressing the molten film made of the propylene based resin, with an elastic roll and a casting roll. A part in contact with the molten film on the surface of the elastic roll is formed from a material containing a metal oxide and/or a semi-metal oxide, and a surface roughness (Ra) of the part is 0.04 to 0.12 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
