<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film solar cell having excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A thin-film solar cell comprises, in that order on a translucent substrate 1: a front-side transparent electrode 2 composed of a transparent conductive film; a front photoelectric conversion unit that is composed of a semiconductor film and performs photoelectric conversion; an intermediate transparent conductive film 4 composed of the transparent conductive film; a rear photoelectric conversion unit that is composed of the semiconductor film and performs photoelectric conversion; and a rear-side electrode 8 composed of the conductive film. The front photoelectric conversion unit and the rear photoelectric conversion unit are electrically connected in parallel via the intermediate transparent conductive film 4. The front photoelectric conversion unit and the rear photoelectric conversion unit are composed of partial photoelectric conversion units including power generation layers each having a different band gap. At least either of the front photoelectric conversion unit and the rear photoelectric conversion unit is configured such that a plurality of the partial photoelectric conversion units including the power generation layers each having a different band gap are electrically connected in series. The operating voltages of the front photoelectric conversion unit and the rear photoelectric conversion unit are set to be substantially the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
