<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zinc alloy cast ingot having excellent workability, in which cracks are not generated in the stock upon working by rolling or the like, and to provide a method for producing the zinc alloy cast ingot. <P>SOLUTION: The zinc alloy cast ingot comprises 3.5 to 18 mass% of Al, and the balance Zn with inevitable impurities, and the average crystal grain size of a eutectic structure is ≤40 μm. The zinc alloy cast ingot may comprise 1 to 3.5 mass% of Cu as well.
