<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device capable of obtaining an image of high quality with a predetermined density even when a printing mode is changed and securely obtaining a synchronizing signal in a main scanning direction. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming device in which dependent beams b to d in which image density is adjusted are used by using one of a plurality of beams a to d for simultaneously scanning on a single photoreceptor by keeping a predetermined interval in a sub-scanning direction Z as a reference beam a of image density and using the other beams as the reference beam of image density. The image forming device has a first printing mode for scanning a photoreceptor using all of the plurality of beams a to d and a second printing mode for scanning a photoreceptor using the beams a and b which are less than those in the first printing mode. In the first printing mode, any one of the plurality of beams is emitted in order to obtain a synchronizing signal in a main scanning direction Y, and one of dependent beams c and d, which are not used for printing in the second printing mode, is emitted in order to obtain a synchronizing signal in a main scanning direction Y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
