<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance mountability of an electric pump without causing problems in intake piping. <P>SOLUTION: The electric pump includes a motor part (28, 32, 34, 36), an impeller rotary-driven by the motor part and a pump chamber for housing the impeller therein, wherein the motor part and the pump chamber are arranged along the rotary shaft of the impeller. The electric pump further includes an intake port for sucking fluid into the pump chamber and a discharge port for discharging the fluid in the pump chamber. The intake port extends in parallel with the rotary shaft, while the discharge port 22 extends in a direction orthogonally intersecting with the rotary shaft.
