<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a table-of-content generation system for electronic books that can newly generate a table of contents of an electronic book in accordance with a field interesting to a general user and allows the user to efficiently browse an article relating to the field interesting to the user. <P>SOLUTION: A table-of-content generation device 100 for electronic books includes: a category storage unit 110 for previously storing a category table composed of plural categories in accordance with a field interesting to a general user and one or plural predetermined words associated with each category; a word extraction unit 130 for extracting words from content data of an electronic book; a category setting unit 140 for referring to the category table in the category storage unit 110 to set plural categories on the basis of the words extracted by the word extraction unit 130; and a table-of-content generation unit 160 for using the plural categories set by the category setting unit 140 to generate a table of contents of the electronic book. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
