<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode lighting device capable of restraining degradation of luminance of a light-emitting surface thereof with respect to light-emitting surfaces of light-emitting diodes and enhancing the ratio of a light flux irradiated on the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting diode lighting device to a total light flux of the light-emitting diodes, as well as a material for light-emitting diode lighting. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of LEDs 11 are arranged so as to emit light in one direction. A plurality of optical systems 12 are provided corresponding to the respective LEDs 11 so that the numerical aperture of the light emitted by the LEDs 11 is converted. When a representative dimension of the light-emitting surface of each LED 11 is denoted by L, an interval between adjacent LEDs 11 is denoted by Iled, a representative dimension of each optical system 12 is denoted by Do, an interval between adjacent optical systems 12 is denoted by Io, and the numerical aperture of the light emitted from the device is denoted by NAout, following relations are satisfied: 0.8L/NAout≤Do≤1.1L/NAout, Io≤Iled, and Io≤Do. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
