<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an infrared light reflective film capable of obtaining an infrared light reflective film having excellent brittleness and good haze using a chiral agent with a low HTP. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an infrared light reflective film comprises: an application step for applying a polymerizable liquid crystal compound including (A) a polymerizable cholesteric liquid crystal compound, (B) a chiral agent with a HTP of 50 μm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>, (C) a monofunctional monomer, and (D) an organic solvent, to a substrate; an alignment step for applying heat and aligning the polymerizable cholesteric liquid crystal compound into a cholesteric liquid crystal phase; and an irradiation step for fixing the cholesteric liquid crystal phase and forming an infrared light reflective layer by irradiating the polymerizable liquid crystal composition with active radiation.
