<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a receiver side to perform favorable reception processing in response to contents and the like of voice data in voice data communication about which a transmitter and a receiver use an asynchronous clock. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver selectively performs asynchronous mode processing for demodulating and outputting voice data at a second clock asynchronous to and the same frequency as the first clock of a transmission side with regard to a received transmission signal, or re-sampling mode processing for performing re-sampling of voice data obtained from the received transmission signal and for outputting voice data sampled at the second clock.
