<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition which can suitably be used for the treatment of a disease selected from the group consisting of Gauger disease, inflammatory diseases, inflammatory skin conditions, overweight and obesity, fungal diseases, microbacterial infections, insulin resistance or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition for disease treatment includes deoxynojirimycin analogues having a structure of the following formula, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. In the formula, R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-R<SB POS="POST">5</SB>each independently denote H, (CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>)<SB POS="POST">n</SB>CH<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, or include X; R6 denotes H, CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>OH, or includes CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>OX, wherein when at least one of R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-R<SB POS="POST">5</SB>is X or R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-R<SB POS="POST">5</SB>are all a group other than X, R<SB POS="POST">6</SB>denotes CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>OX; n denotes 0-9; a-e denote a chiral center having an R or S steric configuration; X includes a large hydrophobic moiety being adamantan-1-yl-methoxy, and a spacer being a 5C alkylene chain, and the hydrophobic moiety can enter into a lipid bilayer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
