摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graded high temperature superconducting coil which increases the conduction current across the coil by contriving the arrangement of layers on the inside of the coil, and can generate a high magnetic field while limiting the usage of superconducting wire rod. <P>SOLUTION: In the graded high temperature superconducting coil, the number of superconducting wire rods 2, 4 in each layer is increased on the inside of the high temperature superconducting coil 1, and the number of superconducting wire rods 6 in each layer is decreased gradually toward the outside of the high temperature superconducting coil 1. Consequently, the conduction current across the high temperature superconducting coil 1 is increased, and a high magnetic field can be generated while limiting the usage of the superconducting wire rods 2, 4, 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
