<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify user's manual setting operation of a content transmitter and a content receiver. <P>SOLUTION: The content transmitter transmits setting items of the content transmitter to the content receiver. The content receiver generates a setting screen containing the setting items of the content transmitter and setting items of the content receiver and causes a display device to display the setting screen. If an instruction to determine the setting items of the content transmitter is inputted at the setting screen, the content receiver instructs the content transmitter to change the setting.
