摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the diagnostic accuracy in a redundant system. <P>SOLUTION: A main calculation system 20M and a subsidiary calculation system 20S are used in combination for calculation of a target throttle opening being the same control variable. The failure of the system is determined by comparing a calculation result of the main calculation system 20M with a calculation result of the subsidiary calculation 20S. The target throttle opening is gradually changed using a cooperative control parameter changed in a predetermined changing rate by an integration calculation in a system transition where the target throttle opening is greatly changed with a map exchange or the like. When the value of the cooperative control parameter has error between the main calculation system and the subsidiary calculation system, the error is held and enlarged without being reduced during the transition and is likely to be improperly determined as the failure.
