<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection apparatus for a molding machine that can reduce the load of a moving rod. <P>SOLUTION: The injection apparatus 1 includes an injection cylinder apparatus 7 driving a plunger 5. The injection cylinder apparatus 7 includes an injection piston 23 with its front portion connected to the plunger 5, and a cylinder tube 21 holding the rear portion of the injection piston 23 slidably. The inside of the cylinder tube 21 is partitioned into a front rod side chamber 21r and a rear head side chamber 21h by a piston part 23b. The injection apparatus 1 further includes a hydraulic apparatus 9 capable of supplying a hydraulic fluid to the injection cylinder apparatus 7; the moving rod 11 capable of pushing the injection piston 23 forward; and a driving device 13 capable of driving the moving rod 11.
