The catalytic reaction e.g. oxidation reaction of exhaust gas from internal combustion engine is performed using the catalyst (132). The two sensor units (120, 122) are used to detect the catalytic reaction of exhaust gas in different mass. The measured values of sensor units are compared to detect the property of the exhaust gas. An independent claim is included for device for detecting property of exhaust gas from internal combustion engine.
