<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further prevent outgas generated from a spindle motor from entering into a disk device. <P>SOLUTION: A spindle motor 13 comprises a fluid bearing 55, a stator 50, a hub 41 and a shielding structure. The bearing having a cylindrical outer shape is fixed to a base 11. The stator on which a core being a magnetic pole is disposed is fixed to the base 11 outside the bearing. The hub on which a magnet 43 facing the core is disposed is rotatably supported by the bearing. The shielding structure comprises a shield plate 70 for shielding an air flow between the stator and the hub, a first elastic member 80 for bringing the shield plate into close contact with the bearing at the top edge of the cylindrical outer shape of the bearing, and a second elastic member 81 for bringing the shield plate into close contact with the base at a region extending outside the outer end of the hub. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
