<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling/sliding fatigue life testing method for steel materials such as a material for rolling motion components and the like, capable of minimizing disturbances, simulating an actual device as possible, and efficiently generating early breakage caused by hydrogen brittleness, and a testing device for this method. <P>SOLUTION: In an inventive rolling/sliding fatigue life testing method for steel materials, a test body 3b of a steel material is immersed in a lubricant 2 in a test oil tank 1, and a load causing rolling/sliding contact is applied to the test body 3b to test the rolling/sliding fatigue life of the test body 3b. Water is injected into the lubricant 2 and the concentration of mixed water is measured by its capacitance and oil temperature. When the test body 3b is a material for a rolling motion component, a rolling motion component simulated body 3 which is a simulated component for testing is manufactured and included in components, and the rolling motion component simulated body 3b is immersed in the lubricant and a testing device is actuated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
