<p>A high temperature resistant hollow sphere and the preparation method thereof are provided. The high temperature resistant hollow sphere comprises one or more of Al2O3, CaO, MgO, Cr2O3, ZrO2 and TiO2. The method comprises using aluminum-containing substance, magnesium-containing substance, calcium-containing substance, chromium-containing substance, zirconium-containing substance and titanium-containing substance as main raw material, introducing additive for adjusting composition and viscosity of melt, smelting in a three-phase AC electric arc ore furnace or a DC electric arc ore furnace, pouring out the melt, blowing with air and sieving to obtain the high temperature resistant hollow sphere with the size of 0.2-5mm. The high temperature resistant hollow sphere has the characteristics of high compression strength, good thermal shock resistance and good heat insulation property, and is suitable for using as aggregates in heat insulation material and lightweight casting material.</p> |
