<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of MEA as much as possible to improve the durability of the whole fuel battery stack, and to reduce generation of strange sounds, by a simple step. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel battery system 10 has a fuel battery stack 12 configured by laminating a plurality of fuel batteries 30. An idle stop method of the fuel battery system 10 includes: a first step of determining that the fuel battery system 10 is in an idle state when the fuel battery 30 is in power generation and when it is detected that an electrical load of a running motor 24 is a predetermined value or less for a predetermined time period; and a second step of, when it is determined that the fuel battery system 10 is in the idle state, supplying to a cathode side an oxidant gas of a predetermined amount less than an amount of the oxidant gas supplied at normal power generation by which a travel possible power can be obtained while supplying a fuel gas to an anode side to generate power, and of discharging a generated current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
