<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable verification of a discharge failure of a nozzle without requiring a complicated apparatus configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for forming a sealed letter includes: a printing part 10 having a printing means comprising a plurality of inkjet heads from the inkjet nozzle from each of which an ink droplet is discharged; and an enclosing and sealing part 20 for enclosing the content, the image of which is formed by the printing part 10, in an envelope, the image of which is formed by the printing part 10, and sealing the content-enclosed envelope to form the sealed latter; and further includes a control part 3 for controlling the work of printing nozzle check patterns, which are used for confirming discharged states of all nozzles of the plurality of inkjet heads and the number of which corresponds to that of all nozzles at the least, in the same area of a substratum pattern on the outside of the same envelope. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
