<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining state detecting method that reliably detects a cutting state of a workpiece, and to provide a machining state detecting program, a recording medium, and a machining state detecting device. <P>SOLUTION: The cutting state detecting method for forming a groove 24 or a stepped part 28 circumferentially to workpieces 20, 26 by a working machine 18 includes: measuring a time waveform of a vibration or sound generated by the working machine 18 or the workpiece 20; specifying a start time T2 of a regular machining time region D2 reversely from an arbitrary time T1 in the regular machining time region D2 based on a contour waveform obtained by extracting a contour of the time waveform; specifying a non-machining time region D1 before the start time T2; and determining whether there is an abnormal waveform formed of an amplitude value smaller than an amplitude value of the regular machining time region D2 and larger than a quality determination threshold value b, in the non-machining time region D1, to detect the machining state of the workpiece 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
