The corrugated gasket comprises a corrugated ring (1) made of corrugated steel sheet and a sealing layer (2) formed at both sides of the corrugated ring. The surfaces of the corrugated ring are formed by an alternating sequence of outer radii (R-a) at the wave peak (3) and inner radii (R-i) at the wave troughs (4). Straight sections are provided on the surfaces of the corrugated ring between the outer radii on one hand and the alternate inner radii on the other hand. An independent claim is also included for a flange connection, which comprises two flanges with sealing surfaces.
