The present invention provides a technology that, in a network system, is for address error recovery that is easy and while online when there has been an address error. A master device acquires from all the slave devices that are on a network an address value set in each slave device, and extracts as an error slave device a slave device wherein an address value is set that coincides with an address value set in another slave device. Then, for the slave devices that are not the error slave device, the master device allocates the address value set in each slave device as-is as a node address, and, to the error slave device, allocates as a provisional node address an address value not allocated to the other slave devices.
