<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a user interface in which a touch panel is laminated on a display. <P>SOLUTION: For instance, when a user makes his/her finger enter into an option region 41 from left while the finger is approximate to a touch panel 11, a screen 40 of a display 12 is changed to only a button 44 corresponding to the option belonging to a music genre as shown in Fig. B. In this case, the display is narrowed to the buttons 44 respectively corresponding to rock, classic, and jazz which belong to music genre and displayed. According to a first display example shown in Fig. 4, the number of displayed buttons is narrowed down according to the entering direction of the user finger, so that the user can easily press the button.
