<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flyback converter that reduces an exciting current generated at a flyback transformer and reduces audible beats even if the flyback transformer oscillates. <P>SOLUTION: The flyback converter includes a power MOS transistor TR1 for turning on/off a voltage applied to a primary winding N1 of a flyback transformer T1, and a power control IC 11 for controlling the switching of the power MOS transistor TR1. The power control IC 11 is configured to oscillate continuously when a load 30 is a first threshold or higher and to oscillate intermittently when the load 30 is lower than the first threshold. The power control IC 11 is configured to repeat an oscillation unit for intermittent oscillation, which is a repetitive combination of three or four on-periods at 40 kHz to 140 kHz, at a period of 600 Hz to 1 kHz during the intermittent oscillation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
