<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide splittable conjugate fiber including polylactic acid and an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. <P>SOLUTION: Splittable conjugate fiber of the invention comprises: a first component (1) including 50 mass% or more of polylactic acid; and a second component (2) including 50 mass% or more of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. In a fiber cross section, the first component (1) or the second component (2) is divided into two or more segments, at least a part of the first component (1) and the second component (2) is exposed on a surface of the conjugate fiber, and the first component or the second component is present as one continuous segment in the fiber cross section. Therefore, the conjugate fiber attains high splittability, and this fiber and a fiber structure and a nonwoven fabric including this fiber have soft feeling derived from ultra fine fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
