<p>Provided are a display device and display method which improve the reproducibility of depth of stereoscopic video. A black luminance image is inserted between a right eye image (R1) displayed in the second half of a frame period and a left eye image (L2) of the first half of the immediately following frame period. The switching period for switching from a right eye image (R1) to a left eye image (L2) is longer than the period for switching from a left eye image (L1) to a right eye image (R1). As a result, a user who is watching cannot perceive the video as combinations of right eye images and immediately following left eye images, which makes it easy to perceive video as simultaneous combinations of left and right images (L1, R1), (L2, R2), (L3, R3)....</p> |
