<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray shielding material for X-ray CT(Computed Tomography) examination and an X-ray CT examination method, allowing proper acquisition of CT image data, and reducing bad influence on a human body as thoroughly as possible. <P>SOLUTION: In this X-ray CT examination method, a protection portion is covered with the X-ray shielding material for the CT examination containing zinc or tin, a portion to be examined is irradiated with X-rays, and the CT image data are acquired by use of a high energy component not less than 100 keV of the X-rays transmitted through the X-ray shielding material while shielding a low energy component not more than 40 keV of the X-rays unnecessary for the acquisition of the CT image data with the X-ray shielding material. By covering the protection portion with the X-ray shielding material, the low energy component is shielded, so that exposure dose reduction effect in the protection portion can be obtained. The high energy component passes a body, and is utilized as the data of an X-ray CT image, so that the CT image data can be properly acquired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
