<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method which realize imaging processing in which an exposure time is set by each area, in an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an electronic shutter control part which controls the exposure start time of an imaging element by electronic shutter operation; and a mechanical shutter control part which controls the exposure finish time of the imaging element by mechanical shutter operation. The electronic shutter control part calculates the exposure start time by each image area, on the basis of the exposure time set individually by each image area and an operation time of a mechanical shutter by each image area, and controls an electronic shutter at the calculated exposure start time. For example, the exposure time is subtracted from the mechanical shutter operation time by each row block to calculate, as an electronic shutter operation time, a reset time as the exposure start time, and the exposure time is controlled by each area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
