<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holder to be used in a lens machining device which grinds or polishes a lens material having no edge portion (thick portion of lens outer peripheral edge) or a small edge portion, with the same or higher working efficiency as the machining of a lens material having an edge portion. <P>SOLUTION: The lens holder includes: a holder body 1A including a lens holding face 2 which is formed in the circular arc shape of the lens material W; and a ring-shaped support member 4 for supporting the outer peripheral edge Wa of the lens material W (hereinafter referring to a thick portion formed on the outer peripheral edge Wa as an edge portion K) on the outer peripheral edge 1a of the holder body 1A. The support member 4 is used for centering and positioning when the lens material W to be machined is set on the lens holder 1.
